I recently responded to an article entitled “The Epidemic of Isolation Among Young Men” as follows:
“Well – they’re not permitted to interact.
Telling a joke, to another person, which offends a woman who was not part of the conversation, and the joke was not about, but who was listening in on the joke and became offended by it can generate a public hailstorm which can see your career ended and your employment opportunities redacted. It was called “donglegate”, that’s a real event, that actually happened.
If men are around women they’re constantly in danger of being accused of wrongdoing by saying the wrong thing or looking in the wrong place should their eyes drift: and they’re not permitted to have male only hobbies, activities or spaces.
-Frats are being forced to accept women.
-Boy scouts are being forced to accept girls.
If being around women is a danger to them, which it is, and they’re not allowed to simply be around men / guys / boys their age in order to NOT be around women / girls: then yeah – they’re going to become isolated. All of their opportunities for extroversion are being denied, restricted, controlled or made unacceptably risky to their public name and work opportunities should someone be offended and complain to HR or twitter or facebook, etc. etc.
The safest thing to do in a mine field: is stand still. That’s what society has become for men, especially young men who didn’t get the opportunity to establish themselves before the social landscape became the way it is.
So yes – young men are isolated, because they’re being isolated, it is an effect which is imposed upon them.”
And this brings us to the boy scouts issue….
So by now some of you may have seen it reported in a few locations that not only have the boy scouts decided to involve girls in every activity and all levels but they have also changed their name to be more gender inclusive. Not surprising, just one week after changing the name, they’ve lost over 425,000 members.
Let me ask you a question…. what did you expect to happen?
The boy scouts of america was founded as an organization designed to teach useful skills and create bonding experiences between boys while being mentored on life lessons to become respectable men.
Now that’s gone.
It is no longer going to “teach useful skills and create bonding experiences between boys while being mentored on life lessons to become respectable men”.
That is done, it has ended. It was for boys to bond with other boys and to be mentored by men to learn how to be men.
It is no longer.
That is gone.
Because boys are not permitted to have anything to themselves. Only girls are permitted.
Boys had one thing –
and it’s gone.
If a child is born male today: he’s better off being killed as soon as he exits his mother’s womb, rather than have to suffer through growing up in this society.
Then again – maybe that’s why suicide becomes the second leading cause of death among boys by age 10. (22)
Maybe I’m wrong – but it seems to me: one cannot evade the law of causality. Take a good luck at those numbers, this was published just last year after all of the data from 2015 had been completed and parsed. In the year 2015, the most complete data set we have, of all the male children ages 10 through 14 who died, 14.1 percent of them died by committing suicide. Call me crazy, but I don’t think that happens for no reason. Of the male children ages 10 to 14 who died in the year 2015, 1 out of every 7 deaths was suicide.
What do you suppose could be convincing so many children to decide they’d rather not live, than to continue to suffer?
Do you think maybe, just maybe – being told they were born wrong and should have been born female could possibly have something to do with that?
Do you think maybe the fact that they try to do well in school and yet never seem to get top grades, forcing them to endure lectures and possibly punishment from their parents could have an effect on that?
Do you think being told by the teacher about how they’re monsters by nature, innately destructive and inherently sexually deviant could have something to do with that?
Do you think sitting through consent training in every sex ed course, because if they’re not taught not to rape they’ll, by virtue of having been born wrong, turn into a rapist: may just have an impact on that number of suicides?
Has any of this sounded like it could possibly have an effect on the fact that one in seven dead male children ages ten to fourteen died of suicide?
As I’ve stated before: actions have consequences, you cannot evade the law of causality.
If you’re a parent, allow me the presumption of giving you advice. Protect your child. After every school day you sit the child down and ask him everything he was told, everything he learned, everything which was said and then you straighten him out and you set his mind right. You check your son’s homework after he finishes, you keep track of his test scores and if those don’t match the grades his teacher gives him you raise a complaint.
The monsters your child fears are not the ones he should be frightened of. They’re not under his bed, they’re in his class room. Monsters from which he cannot hide under the covers or close his eyes tightly to defend himself against. Your child has you, and you have no more solemn duty than to protect your child. I can tell you this, if you fail in that role: all the love in the world will not guarantee that you’ll be forgiven.
Don’t you ever forget that. If you fail to protect your child, all the love in the world won’t guarantee that you will be forgiven. Now let me explain that for you, in case you’re having trouble with the concept.
The dead are just slightly out of the service area your phone plan covers.
